Hands-on and always eager to help, Derek is our Managing Director and in charge of all client relationships here at My Odd Job Guys. Having spent most of his working life either serving in the Royal Navy he did tours in UAE and The British Falkland Islands, on leaving the military Derek worked as part of Land Rover’s Power Train, before moving to be head of planned maintenance at Reactfast, before relocating to Liverpool where he joined OpenReach as part of a drive to recruit ex forces to deliver and install super fast broadband. More recently, he has been operations director at Jayne Moore Media where he created systems to increase capacity across the agency. Derek embodies everything we value at My Odd Job Guys, he is meticulous in his attention to detail and goes the extra mile to ensure his clients are happy with every job.
Les Heather
Head of Operations
Les joins My Odd Job Guys out of retirement, his 25 years as operations manager at Port of Liverpool, saw Les recruit and train a workforce of 300, setting up the operations and standards for the Port. Les is responsible for the Health & Safety and risk assessments for each job and he ensures that we deliver against our high standards every time. Les is meticulous in his planning, and he is responsible for the costing of each job to make sure we deliver a fair and balanced cost for each job. Les has a wealth of experience that enables us to deliver in the knowledge that you are in safe hands.
